Dr. Indranil Biswas is a distinguished Indian mathematician specializing in algebraic geometry, differential geometry, and deformation quantization. He is currently a senior professor of mathematics at Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR.
Dr. Biswas has made significant contributions to the study of vector bundles and moduli spaces, and his impactful research has earned him one of India’s highest scientific honors—the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize in Mathematical Sciences in 2006, awarded for his pioneering work on moduli problems of vector bundles. Prior to joining Shiv Nadar University, Dr. Biswas was a prominent researcher at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. He has also held affiliations with leading institutions such as the Indian Institute of Science and the Max Planck Society. With an h-index of 25 and over 850 publications to his name, Dr. Biswas is widely recognized for his prolific academic output and ongoing influence in the field of mathematics.
