On September 5, 2025, Asian Young Scientist Fellowship is pleased to officially announce the new cohort of twelve AYS Fellows as the fellowship recipients in the 2025 Selection Round!

12 accomplished early-career scientists from China (Mainland, Hong Kong SAR, and Taiwan Region), Japan, Korea, and Singapore have been chosen for their exceptional scientific contributions and potential in their respective fields.

Session 5 held on August 13, 2025 (CST), titled "Unifying Principles of Hierarchical Organization, Assembly, Function, and Regulation in Biology".

Led by Professor Yi Lin at Tsinghua University, Professor Tian Xue at the University of Science and Technology of China, and Professor Xiaofan Wang from Duke University, this session provided a comprehensive exploration of hierarchical organization in biology. The discussions underscored the intricate connections between molecular dynamics, cellular functions, and organismal behavior.

The 2024 Asian Young Scientists Annual Conference, held on October 31, 2024, at the University of Hong Kong, brought together total of 26 participants, including AYS Fellows and committee members, actively engaged in the event, sharing insights and discussing future collaboration opportunities.

The event featured presentations by the newly elected 2024 AYS Fellows, highlighting groundbreaking research across disciplines and interdisciplinary innovations.

The conference concluded with a by-invitation-only cocktail reception, providing an informal platform for networking and celebrating the Fellows’ achievements in a collegial atmosphere.

Asian Young Scientist Webinar – the Biggest Question for My Science series is organized by the Asian Young Scientist Fellowship in partnership with universities in Asia. This series fosters a deeper understanding of the fundamental questions that drive scientific discovery. 

Each session features an AYS Fellow and a prominent scientist from related fields discussing the most critical question in their research and the scientific community's approach. It will be held monthly via online Zoom meetings and is open to participation.
