Professor Je-Geun Park received his B.Sc./M.Sc. from Seoul National University and his Ph.D. from Imperial College London. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Seoul National University.Professor Park’s research focuses on strongly correlated electron systems, with a particular emphasis on quantum magnetism. He is widely recognized for pioneering the field of van der Waals magnetism. His work bridges materials discovery with fundamental condensed matter physics, contributing broadly to the advancement of quantum materials.Professor Park has published extensively in leading international journals and has received numerous honors for his contributions to condensed matter physics, including the Korea Science Prize (2016) and the POSCO Science Prize (2023). He is an elected member of the Korean Academy of Science and Technology.
