Huaxing Zhu, Ph.D.
2023 AYS Fellow - Physical Science
Boya Distinguished Professor, School of Physics, Peking University
Research Area: Theoretical High Energy Physics
Award Citation: The AYSF Committee acknowledges his contribution to application of quantum field theory in high energy collider physics and would like to support his exploration around first-principle quantum field theory operator algebra, precision quantum chromodynamics phenomenology, and high precision data from LHC experiments.
Bio: HuaXing Zhu is a Boya Distinguished Professor at the School of Physics at Peking University. He received his bachelor's (2007) and doctoral (2012) degrees from Peking University. Following postdoctoral research at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center and MIT, he worked at Zhejiang University from 2017 to 2023 before returning to Peking University. His research focuses on the intersection of quantum field theory, quantum chromodynamics, and collider physics. In 2020, he was honored with the Qiushi Outstanding Young Scholar Award. His contributions were further acknowledged with the Asian Young Scientist Fellowship in 2023 and the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2024.
